Our respects for the Martyrs of our Nation

The 14 Corp of the Northern command catering to the areas of Siachin, Kargil & Ladakh has erected a HALL OF FAME as a tribute to the martyred soldiers at Leh. The Army establishment in the 14 Core had also wished to have an Eternal Flame burning for those who laid down their lives for protecting the honour & glory of the nation. As a fuel partner of Northern Command of the Indian Army, it is a privilege for Bharat Petroleum to shoulder this responsibility and pay our respects in our little way by providing the basic infrastructure of Cylinder Bank & Eternal flame to keep the flame burning in the Hall of Fame.
In a ceremonial tribute, the Formal lighting of the eternal flame and laying of wreath were carried out by GOC, Core 14, Lt. General S.K Patyal in presence of Maj. General B.K Rapswal, ADGST & Brigadier ASC Harsh Chibber on 13 June 2016. Mr. Tarun Kumar, TM( Industrial) Chandigarh, BPCL and Mr. Sanjay Kargaonkar, TM(Industrial), Delhi, represented Bharat Petroleum.
BPCL has a long association with the Indian Army and we have been strengthening it year on year. Our support and contribution in 2015-16 for setting up Tankages and Kerb Side Pump in record time in Leh has given us the opportunity to be the fuel providers for this Tribute to Martyrs. This project is yet another testimony of the commitment to the Nation from our business segments of Industrial & Commercial and LPG.
