Bharatgas has been a significant facilitator of The Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG (DBTL) or PAHAL (Pratyaksh Hanstantrit Labh) which enables transfer of cash LPG subsidy directly into the bank account of the beneficiaries. This Government of India Initiative has been recognized by The Guinness Book of World Records as the world’s largest Direct Benefits Transfer for LPG (DBTL) Consumer Scheme, benefitting over 230 million consumers.
Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) is another landmark initiative which made available deposit-free connections of the clean and safe LPG cooking gas to 8 crore underprivileged families. This initiative enabled millions of rural women to bring into their homes a safe, clean and environment-friendly cooking fuel, empowering them to lead a healthy, productive life. Bharatgas undertook several activities for widespread awareness and building knowledge about the safe use of LPG and its benefits. Workshops, Safety Clinics, Nukkad Nataks and massive communication campaigns were organized to reach out to the uninformed beneficiaries and thus enabled 2.11 crore households to avail the benefits of this benevolent scheme.
