Nukkad Natak at public places

Output: Street Plays or Nukkad Nataks were organized at various places in Mumbai. As it can be seen in the image, one of the plays took place at the iconic Gateway of India, Mumbai. Several people who were there participated and saw the street plays. Similar nukkad nataks were arranges at the Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, Churchgate Station and Marine Drive in Mumbai.

End Plastic Campaign – Kakkanam Ee Mannnine Campaign

Output: In a unique gathering held today at Cochin Refineries School by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, a team of pioneers from parliamentarians, bureaucrats, educationalists and the media joined together to strengthen the vow taken to protect our mother Earth.  “Make this campaign a habit and let this programme be the beginning of the end of using plastics in daily life.  Save this earth and the environment. It is your duty to protect the earth”, spoke the eminent personalities, while addressing the students.  The guests answered the queries put forward by the students in the interactive session.  Earlier, the students of Rajagiri College put up a flash mob and short skit depicting the message of the campaign.   Prizes were distributed to the winners of slogan competition. Kakkanam Ee Mannine awareness campaign against use of plastics came to a close today at the valedictory function after a fortnight of awareness talks, street plays, flash mobs and campaigns portraying the message of avoiding single-use plastics in around 60 schools in the district reaching out to more than 1,00,000 students.  Students from Rajagiri College of Social Sciences conducted the campaign under the aegis of Rajagiri Outreach  in Malayala Manorama’s Nallappadam schools

Walkathon to spread on Banning of Single-Use Plastic

Prabhat Pheri on Swachhata Awareness

Output: Nrityanjali, conducted Prabhat Pheri at BPCL Kharghar. BPCL Officers actively participated in the Prabhat Pheri. Mr. Akshay Wadhwa Retail Head, (West ) and other BPCL Officers proactively engaged in this initiative. This Swachhta Pakhawada activity was meant to reiterate thought and action on Cleanliness. It Created awareness and a Sense of Responsibility and Accountability towards people, society at large. The Prabhat Pheri had Nrityanjali team and BPCL employees spreading the message of cleanliness and Swachhata through Songs and slogans specially created for this occasion. The initiative also involved spreading the message of using cloth bags instead of plastic bags. Cloth bags were also distributed to reiterate the need to contribute towards the environment and community.

‘Save the Earth, Say NO to plastics’

Output: Around 100 students participated in the ‘Save the Earth, Say NO to plastics’ awareness campaign which was organised On 8th July 2022 at St Theresa’s Spinelli Public School, Pottakuzhy in Ernakulam District as part of the Swachhta Pakhwada observance by BPCL in association with Rajagiri Outreach and Malayala Manaorama Nallappadam Clubs. Volunteers from Rajagiri College of Social Sciences performed street play ,messages against use of plastic and quiz competitions were conducted for the students. The students also took pledge against use of plastic. Instructions on plastic audit was also given to the students after the campaign. The progress was witnessed by over 2000 students and teachers of the school.

Seed Pencil

Output: By planting a pencil, we are not just growing more than a new plant but also helping to grow a green mind-set that challenges the norm and that looks at how things can be reused instead of thrown away. Seed paper pencils and pens were distributed among children.

Beach Cleaning – Protecting the Oceans

Output: Sea Beach (Bay of Bengal) cleaning of 1 km stretch carried out by E&P Team led by Shri Abhay Kumar Priyadarshi, Site Engineer at Paradeep Installation (E&P). This cleaning activity was carried out from 6: 30 am to 9:30 am. BPCL officers, staff as well as the members from our extended network / vendors enthuasiastically participated in the activity. ADM , Paradeep office also joined hand and the activiy was greatly encouraged by ADM (Paradeep) and the locals as well.

Engagement of Indian Army

Output: Awareness program organized at Army FPD Leh the biggest FOL Depot in Northern Command of Army. Following activities were conducted: 1. Brief introduction about Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and its products. 2. Administering of the Swachhata Pledge by all. 3. Distribution of the winter jackets and hygiene kits to the labors of FPD Leh. The function was concluded by vote of thanks to Army officials for their support in conducting the awareness program.

Output: Today Madurai Retail Territory in association with Madurai Corporation organised Swachhta Cleanliness Drive around Madurai Meenakshi Amman Temple premises on the occasion of Swachhta Pakhwada. The event started with Swachhta Pledge administered by Mr. Vinodh Kumar, City Health Officer. Territory Coordinator (Retail) addressed the gathering followed by Swacchta Speech by Sales Officer, Madurai. Around 40 workers from Madurai Corporation and 40 DSMs from our ROs participated in the Cleanliness Drive. Jute bags, masks and sanitisers were distributed to all participants and general pubic to create awareness about cleanliness.

Water Body Cleaning – The Sustainable Solution

Output: As part of swachhata pakhwada 2022, we have taken up cleaning up of canal by installing barriers across canal in Pondicherry which will ensure solid waste is trapped and only water flow is allowed. The barrier is 80 cm above water level and 40 cm below water level which ensures solid waste segregation. The proposal was taken in association with NGO UNACCC, Alphamers Ltd and PWD of Pondicherry. PWD Minster along with 2 MLAs and IAS officer of Pondicherry graced the occasion.

Output: Swachhta Highway Activity - Uma Parking Palanchur, NH 4 Chennai & Kora Parking Chembrabakam – NH 4 Chennai. Uma Parking & Kora Parking are the major paid truck parking yards in NH 4 Chennai. Majorly parking the Car carriers, which operating for Hyundai Irungattukottai Plant. Fleet Team Chennai, SO Tiruvallur 2 & RO dealer Aditya Fuel Station, briefed about Swatchha Pakhawada in Swachhta Charcha, created a competition among truck drivers to clean the parking area and their truck cabin.Drivers actively participated in the parking area, their truck cabin and surrounding cleaning in both the parking areas. Selected the best five performers in the cleaning activity in both the parking yards and as a token of appreciation gave then water dispenser jars. Swatchha Kit – Consist of N-95 Mask, Sanitiser, Soap & Toothpaste distributed to all the truck crew participated in the Swachhta Charcha & Cleaning activity. Tea & Snacks arranged for all the participants in both the parking.

Mega Tree Plantations in Balangir

INDIAN GOOSEBERRY - (PHYLLANTHUS AMBLICA) 4. BLACK PLUM- JAMUN - (SYZYGIUM CUMINI) 5. TEAK TREE - (TECTONA GRANDIS) 6. CASHEW TREE - (ANACARDIUM OCCIDENTALE) 7. MANGO TREE - (MANGIFERA INDICA) 8. PONGAME OIL TREE - (MILLETTIA PINNATA) 9. JACK FRUIT TREE - (ARTOCARDUS HETEROPHYLLUS) 10. BLACKWOOD - (ACACIA MELANOXYLON) The mega tree plantation drive was followed by Swachhta talk detailing importance of plantation and green Earth in our lives.

Raj Ghat gets a Royal Cleaning

Output: Today special cleanliness drive was conducted by BPCL, Varanasi as a part of स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा-2022. To abate this fortnight event Territory has organised a colossal clean up drive at Raj Ghat. Varanasi Ghats are popular tourist attraction spots but  at times tourist leave behind lot of trash. With the objective of sanitation and cleaning of our surroundings our 50 DSMs, 15 Dealers and 10 Officials joined hands together to make this mega drive a grand success. A prior approval from Administrative office was taken. An oath-taking ceremony was also organized for all volunteers after which the mega drive for cleaning ghats and river water surface near banks continued for 3 hours. The waste taken out from the river water and  ghat platforms was sent to the solid waste management department for proper disposal. The ACP Varanasi & Zonal officer Varanasi were invited as the chief Guest in the event. During his address he deeply appreciated the overwhelming efforts and time donated by BPCL for this noble event.

Darpan App receives Feedback for RO Toilets
