BPCL Stands Tall as a Power BrandJoining the ranks of India’s Most Powerful Brands chosen by the discerning consumer, Bharat Petroleum has established itself as a Power Brand 2010-2011.

A stringent three phase research methodology was followed for determining the top 300 Powerbrands in India. The listing has been based on a perception based survey conducted by ICMR along with the IIPM Think Tank. The survey took into account the Brand Equity of the brands through the parameters of high recall value, brand awareness, brand loyalty, brand image/perception, brand performance and brand association. To assess the Power-meter for the brands, the parameters were brand recall, brand legacy/goodwill and brand impact.

Once the final list of the Powerbrands 2010-2011 was created, each selected brand was surveyed directly with their target market based on trust, sustainability, image, awareness, effectiveness, perception, aspiration, loyalty and positioning. As the Power Brands Book elucidates, “The featured brands have not been picked solely on the basis of their individual brand value and market presence, but also because of them being the most powerful brands across the industry
