Joy of Giving : Opt out of LPG Subsidy

JOY of GIVING LPG is a highly subsidized fuel in India and the subsidy amount was a whopping Rs. 46,000 crores during 2013-14. Any subsidy given is money out of the exchequer. The same money, if not given out as subsidy could be used to make LPG available to those who are today deprived of using it.
Even after 60 years of LPG being the prime fuel in India, only 64% of India’s population enjoys the benefit of this clean fuel in their homes. This means 36% of our own fellow Indians depend on fuels like firewood, coal and biomass, all of which cause intense indoor pollution that affects their health and particularly the womenfolk, who cook in such conditions for the family to enjoy a good meal.
You are invited to join the crusade to make LPG available to these households and save lives that are cut short due to indoor pollution. If you can really afford it, do OPT OUT OF LPG SUBSIDY and feel the joy of giving it to the lesser privileged.
