BPCL Chairman & Managing Director, Mr. S Varadarajan declared that Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) has recorded outstanding results in all facets of business for the year 2014-2015 at the 62nd Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd that was held at Kishinchand Chellaram College (K.C College), Churchgate, Mumbai on September 09, 2015 from 10.30 AM to 1:30 PM.
Mr. S Varadarajan, Chairman & Managing Director (BPCL), briefed the Press & Media in detail about the outstanding performance delivered by Bharat Petroleum in 2014-15.
At the Media Meet, where Mr.Varadarajan, was accompanied by Director Marketing Mr. K.K. Gupta, Mr. P Balasubramanian, Director (Finance), Mr.S.P. Gathoo, Director (HR) and Mr.M.S. Patke, General Manager (Brand & PR), he proudly shared that Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) had recorded excellent results in all facets of business and that the Company has achieved the highest ever net profit of Rs. 5084.51 crores during 2014-15 representing a 25% leap over last year’s record of Rs. 4060.88 crores.
In a nutshell, BPCL’s Gross Revenue from Operations for 2014-15 was Rs 2,53,254.86 crores, compared to previous year’s revenues of Rs 2,71,051.81 crores. BPCL also generated the highest average Gross Refining Margin (GRM) amongst the PSU Oil Companies during 2014-15. BPCL’s market sales volume was 34.45 MMT as compared to 34.00 MMT achieved during the last year. BPCL’s market share amongst the public sector oil companies stood at 23.29% as against 23.50% recorded in the previous year and BPCL’s net worth as on 31.3.2015 stands at Rs.22,467.48 cores as compared to Rs. 19,458.76 crores at the end of the previous year.
Also present at the Press Meet were heads of businesses and other senior officials who addressed further queries raised by the Print and Electronic Media at the open session.
