Meet Vipul Arora, Manager, Digital Projects (Gas), HQ. A Mechanical Engineer from IIT Roorkee, Vipul joined BPCL in 2017 and has since contributed to the company’s evolving Gas Business, from City Gas Distribution operations to digital transformation.

At BPCL, he has been part of expanding the company’s presence in multiple CGD bidding rounds, implementing automation tools like BROMA and the CGD accounting system to reduce timelines and costs, and supporting commissioning of CNG stations, PNG customers, and industry-first projects like BPCL’s first PNG industrial customer in North India and the first CNG station via third-party compression services.

Alongside these achievements, Vipul has shared knowledge and represented BPCL externally, co-editing the Industrial Booklet, attending the International Conference on Green Energy in Singapore, and reaching the regional finals of the National Biz-X 2018 Challenge. Recognized as a “Rising Star” in the Gas Business, he is currently driving BPCL’s digital transformation in Gas through the SAP IS-U implementation under NG Pulse, reshaping utility operations, billing, and customer experience, while also contributing to the brand development of the Gas Business as Natural Gas becomes a key pillar of BPCL’s growth.
