1000th truck of niche Petrochemicals flagged off from BPCL Kochi

Marking an Aatmanirbhar moment for Bharat Petroleum, the 1000th truck of niche Petrochemicals was flagged off from Bharat Petroleum Kochi Refinery on 23 September 2021. The celebration was extra special, as the Refinery had turned 55 on this day after its inauguration on the same day in 1966.
The milestone truck carrying Niche Petrochemicals was flagged off by Shri Sanjay Mehrishi, Chief General Manager (Information Systems), Kochi Refinery and Shri Teekam Singh, Territory Manager (Industrial & Commercial) Kochi, BPCL in the presence of Shri Sanjay Khanna, Executive Director (Kochi Refinery).
The first parcel of Niche Petrochemical from Kochi Refinery was flagged off on 14 April 2021. Since then 20,000 MT of products have been sold to various ancillary industries as paints and adhesives.
“This is a proud moment for all of us in Bharat Petroleum. Niche petrochemical sector is a new area for us. However, we are learning the nuances of this complex sector and progressing towards fully energizing this petrochemical area, wishing many more 1000th soon,” said Shri Khanna, Executive Director (Kochi Refinery). Chief General Managers Shri Suresh John, Shri Ajith Kumar K, Shri Kurian P Alapatt, Shri A N Sreeram, Shri S Sriram, Smt Sarah Thomas, Shri G R Senthilkumar and KR team were also present at the flag-off.
