BPCL Exhilarates With Three PetroFed Awards

Asserting its supremacy in various aspects of its business, BPCL won three Petrofed Awards for the year 2009-10, These were the Oil & Gas Marketing Company of the Year Award, Human Resources Management Company of the Year Award and Environmental Sustainability Company of the Year Award.
The Petroleum Federation of India (PetroFed) is an apex hydrocarbon industry association, which acts as an oil industry interface with Government, regulatory authorities, public and representative bodies of traders and helps in resolution of issues and facilitates evolution of hydrocarbon related policies and regulations. Registered as a Society in 2002, it instituted Annual Awards for the oil and gas industry in India in 2007.
The scheme of Awards, open to all companies operating in India in the oil & gas sector, was formulated by an Awards Committee constituted under the Chairmanship of Dr. Prodipto Ghosh, Distinguished Fellow, TERI and former Secretary to the Government of India.
After preliminary evaluation of applications by knowledge partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Awards Committee recommendations are presented to the jury for ratification. The Jury is headed by Hon’ble Justice J. S. Verma, former chief Justice of India. The other members of the jury are Dr. Abid Hussain, former Ambassador to the USA and Mr. Naresh Narad, former Chairman, Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB).
The awards were presented by our Hon’ble Union Minister of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Shri S. Jaipal Reddy at a glittering ceremony in Delhi on 11th May, 2011
