BPCL’s First Green Office Complex inaugurated at Kharghar, Navi MumbaiMr. S. Varadarajan , Chairman & Managing Director, BPCL inaugurated the new Western Regional Office at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai in the august presence of Mr. K.K. Gupta (Director Marketing), Mr. B.K. Datta (Director Refineries) and Mr. S.P. Gathoo (Director HR) on 2nd February 2015. {C}{C}{C}{C}{C}

The Office Building has been designed as per GRIHA (Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment) norms. The office has double walled Glass Facade to maximize use of natural light and reduce the heat retained inside the building. A Building Management System (BMS) is in place to monitor all the systems including fire fighting, AC, STP and power supply.

For electrical energy conservation there is VRF based Air Conditioning System and LED lighting fixtures for and for water conservation there is a well laid out Sewage Treatment Plant and Rain Water Harvesting system.

The new office has fully equipped Conference rooms on all office floors. Other facilities include capsule elevators and Freight Elevators. High-end Security Systems like Access Control linked Flap Barriers and boom Barriers have also been installed at the BPCL Khargar office that would now be the operating hub for the whole of Western Region.

The green office also has a vertical garden on the front Compound Wall and Retractable Roof System for the cafeteria on the top floor. Now that's the closest one can get to Nature in an absolutely high-tech office.
