Bharat Petroleum energises Indian Army Seminar

Lt. Gen. R V Kanitkar, AVSM, SM, VSM & Quarter Master General, inaugurated the  BPCL stall at the Indian Army's Exhibition in Delhi as part of the National Seminar on "Army's Fuelling Needs : Future Outlook" organised by the Army Service Corps in New Delhi on 29 June 2016. Also present were Lt. Gen. Balbir Singh Sandhu, VSM, DGST and Mr. S Jena, DGM Sales (Industrial & Commercial-HQ) I/c, BPCL.

With changes in overall energy scenario across the globe, the Indian Army deliberated on creating awareness and new initiatives for overall improvement in the fuelling pattern of Indian Army. Organised in coordination with Petrofed and Oil PSUs  the delegates deliberated on global and Indian energy scenario and daily operations, efficiency and hurdles in handling petroleum products in extreme climatic conditions. From BPCL, Dr. DC Patra, DGM Strategy LPG (HQ) delved in detail on “LPG: Future and Change Management”.

Mr. Sanjay Kargaonkar, TM (Indl) Delhi, Mr. Anil Ahluwalia, Chief Manager (PR & Brand), Mr. Narendra Solanki, Senior Manager (Institutional Sales - Lubes), Mr. Mahesh Jangam, Territory Manager (LPG) Roorkee, Mr. Jitendra S Pandey, Mgr. Bus. Dev. (Indl) NR  and other senior officials of Indian Army, Petrofed and Oil PSUs were also present. 

At the BPCL stall, displays of BPCL KSPs at Karu, Dahung and the Eternal flame at Leh depicted the strong relations cherished between BPCL. Also, the video walls had continuous displays of BPCL’s contributions towards 40 years of Energising Lives. 

The ASC is an important functionary of Indian Army which handles its logistics support function. The ASC is mainly responsible for the provisioning, procurement and distribution of Fuels, hygiene chemicals and other hospitable items of usage as per the requirement of Indian Army.
