MOS urge OMCs for aggressive DBTL ImplementationShri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon. Minister of State - Independent Charge, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has urged  Oil Companies to continue aggressively for the DBTL implementation in the balance districts where it is scheduled to be launched from 1st January 2015.

The Hon’ble Minister met OMC officials on 29 November 2014 at Sahyadri Govt. Guest House, Malabar Hill, Mumbai to take stock of the progress made in DBTL (Direct benefit for transfer of LPG). The DBTL scheme was re-launched in Wardha and Amravati Districts of Maharashtra. He also urged marketing of 5 kg LPG in urban as well as rural markets.

Shri A.L.Krishnan, SLC Maharashtra welcomed the Minister. Shri Sukhmal Jain, Regional LPG Manager, West, BPCL made the presentation on the status of DBTL implementation in Maharashtra. The Hon. Minister was apprised that the Oil Companies have put in strenuous efforts to plan and execute smooth implementation of the DBTL scheme. The Oil companies have also strived to ensure proper coordination between LPG Distributors, local Banks, Adhaar / District authorities.
