BPCL MUMBAI REFINERY ESTATES DEPTT. GETS GREEN AWARDS

BPCL - The Green Winner Tree Authority and Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai jointly organized 19th Exhibition of Plants, Flowers, Fruits and Vegetables workshop on 14th, 15th & 16th February 2014 at Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udhyan-Zoo, Byculla.
BPCL, Mumbai Refinery Estates deptt. participated in seven categories of Plants, flower, fruits and vegetable shows. The six awards (Trophies & certificates) were received by Mr. Puneet Gupta, Sr. Manager Estates & Mr. Navanath Ingale, Dy. Manager Estates in a glittering function held at Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udhyan, Byculla at the hands of Deputy Mayor of Mumbai on 16th February 2014.
BPCL received the Awards for following categories :-
1. Ferns (First Prize)
2. Hanging Baskets (Second Prize)
3. Collection of Bonsai (Second Prize)
4. Shade loving Plants in Pots (Second Prize)
5. Flowering Plants in Pots (Second Prize)
6. Annuals grown in Pots/Baskets (Second Prize)
In addition to above, “New Children Park” of BPCL Staff Colony won Second prize in the Private Garden Category.
There were more than 50 nominations submitted for different categories of Plants, flowers, fruits and vegetables. Big corporate houses like M/s. Godrej, M/s. Central Railway, M/s Western Railway, M/s. HPCL, M/s. L&T, M/s. Mumbai International Airport Limited, M/s Hiranandani, M/s Tata Power, M/s Voltas and M/s RCF also participated in the exhibition.
This is another step towards contribution to the green environment.
