BPCL's Green Vision Takes Flight: Collaborates with CIAL to Set Up Groundbreaking Green Hydrogen Plant at Kochi Airport

We are pleased to announce that BPCL will set up the first-ever Green Hydrogen Plant in an Indian airport.
BPCL today signed an MOU with CIAL to establish India's first Integrated Green Hydrogen Plant and a fuelling station at an airport. The 1,000 KW project, set for 2025 completion, aligns with BPCL’s Net Zero aspirations.
The MOU was signed at Thiruvananthapuram, in the presence of Hon’ble Chief Minister of Kerala Shri. Pinarayi Vijayan, Hon'ble Minister for Industries, Shri P. Rajeeve, and Chief Secretary, Govt. of Kerala, Dr. V. Venu IAS, Shri G. Krishnakumar, C&MD, BPCL, Shri VRK Gupta Director (Finance) BPCL, and other Senior officials from BPCL and CIAL.
Under the agreement, BPCL will set up an integrated Green Hydrogen plant and fuelling station at Kochi Airport, leveraging cutting-edge technology. The initial plant output will power vehicles within the airport, marking a significant step towards a greener future.
