NDTV Recognizes BPCL With Prestigious CSR Award

The profitable growth of any company depends on the economic, environmental, and social sustainability of our communities”. This has been the underlying principle for BPCL’s performance as a good Corporate Citizen over the years. In recognition of our efforts, we received the prestigious NDTV Profit, Business Leadership Award in the CSR category. In a glittering ceremony held at Mumbai recently, our C&MD, Mr. S. Radhakrishnan received the Award from our Hon’ble Finance Minister, Mr. Pranab Mukherjee in the presence of Dr. Prannoy Roy, Chairman and Wholetime Director NDTV. Also present were luminaries from the business world including Mr. Narayana Murthy, Mr. Mukesh Ambani, Mr. Deepak Parekh, Mr. Shashi Ruia, Mr. A. M. Naik and others.
In India, only 28 companies including BPCL, have published and registered their sustainability reports based on the framework of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) guidelines. Since 2006-07, BPCL has been publishing its Corporate Sustainability Report highlighting its non-financial performance and is one of the few Companies to receive an A+ rating for the last two years. The other nominees considered in this category were Infosys, Wipro, L&T and Jain Irrigation.
