Vadinar Bina Pipeline Fully Commissioned

It was indeed a thrilling moment for E&P (Pipeline Projects) team, when Crude entered BORL Refinery, through the 935 Km long, 24”dia, Vadinar Bina Crude Oil Pipeline on 06.06.2010 at 10:36 AM, announcing the completion of commissioning of the Vadinar Bina Pipeline. total of 262493 KL Crude has been pumped from Vadinar through the Pipeline and 11578 KL has been received at Bina, so far and further pumping is in progress .
The Pipeline which has been designed for a throughput of 6 MMTPA has been fully commissioned and can now be operated on its continuous capacity.
The project which is so far the longest Pipeline project executed by BPCL, involved laying of 24” dia, 935 Kms crude Oil Pipeline from Vadinar in Gujarat to Bina in Madhya Pradesh, construction of 2 Pumping stations (Thamna in Gujarat and Bawdi in MP), 2 IP Stations (Somasar in Gujarat and Sandavata in MP) and 29 SV Stations with State of the art SCADA, Leak Detection and Telecommunication system.On one side as a feed to Bina Refinery E&P commission Vadinar Bina pipeline for providing Crude to BORL and on the other hand LPG has been commissioned in Bina Terminal so as to allow breathing of Bina refinery through Flare for CDU,VDU commissioning.
